Just wanted to check and see what was going on with the Fall Parties. Has everyone set their dates and times with their teachers? What sort of ideas are you going with for themes? Has anyone determined what the curriculum tie-ins will be for your grade level?

Gift Giving Ideas
I met with my co-room parent, Suzi Guzman, last Friday and she was sharing ideas of past gift giving that she's done as a room parent. I thought they were very clever.
Both ideas involve having the other parents donate gift cards.
1. Get a holiday wreath and decorate it with the gift cards donated.
2. Get a bulletin board and put all the kid's pictures around the boarder. Put ribbon across the board and intertwine the gift cards in the ribbon.
Suzi - help me out here if there's a better way to describe!!
Thanks,
Samantha

Fellow Room Parents,
Thanks to everyone who was able to attend our meeting last week. For all of the room parents, slides from our meeting, as well as some sample party food permission forms and a building request form for use with your parties were sent out electronically.
Below is a recap of key points and action items from our meeting.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I look forward to working with all of you this school year!
Thanks for your help,
Samantha
